Czech-German workshop will connect academics and industry representatives
Establishing closer cooperation with industrial enterprises is one of the goals of the 2nd Czech-German Workshop for Industrial Research and Innovation entitled “Energy Systems Solutions for the Future”.

The workshop will take place on 15 November 2022 at the Germany Embassy in Prague under the auspices of the VSB - Technical University Ostrava together with partners from the Fraunhofer Innovation Platform for Applied Artificial Intelligence for Materials & Manufacturing at VSB – Technical University of Ostrava.

At the workshop, we will present the possibilities of cooperation of the Fraunhofer Innovation Platform for Applied Artificial Intelligence for Materials & Manufacturing at VSB - Technical University of Ostrava (FIP-AI@VSB-TUO), either on a contractual or project basis. We are thus trying to further develop the possibilities of cooperation with the industrial sector in various areas of technical disciplines,” said Jana Kukutschová, Managing Director of FIP-AI@VSB-TUO and Vice-Rector for Science and Research at VSB-TUO. Those interested in participating can register via the online form until 31 October 2022.

FIP-AI@VSB-TUO is the only innovation platform of the Fraunhofer-Gessellschaft, the world’s leading applied research organisation, in the Czech Republic, which is dedicated to the research and development of the great potential of energy management technologies, artificial intelligence (AI) and intelligent production in industry. “While VSB-TUO brings expertise in AI and next generation computing to the collaboration, the Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology ICT offers expertise in materials research and energy systems, and the Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology IWU in manufacturing technology and production. The bundling of these competencies enables the partners to offer particularly powerful solutions for the entire industrial value chain,” added Kukutschová.

The seminar will feature representatives of all partners involved in the innovation platform, as well as representatives of CzechInvest and the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic. All information, including the preliminary programme, is available here.
