Summary
The aim of the project is to enhance higher education in the field of materials science and technology for the semiconductor industry in the region. We target to achieve this goal by building laboratories focused on industry-oriented practical learning in the new study programme 'Information Technology in Materials Science' at the VŠB-Technical University Ostrava, Czech Republic. The laboratories will enable obtaining practical skills in the field of contactless optical methods for measuring electrical parameters of semiconductor materials and microelectronic chip structures. The project will lead to an extension of cooperation between the university and industrial enterprises, especially onsemi, Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, in the field of education, popularization of technical disciplines, practical supervison of graduate theses, as well as science and research, thus building a stable semiconductor ecosystem in the region.
