Summary
The Faculty of Materials Science and Technology (FMST) regards internationalisation as a key prerequisite for the development of high-quality education and the strengthening of scientific and research activities. One of its long-term goals is to create conditions that enable doctoral students to actively engage in professional discussions, publish the results of their research work, and present themselves within the international academic environment.
The FMT Doctoral Students’ Day 2026 is a faculty conference focused on the presentation of research and development outcomes achieved by doctoral students. The event will provide young researchers with an opportunity to present their projects, discuss their results, and share experiences with peers across study programmes and research areas. The programme will be organised into thematic sections corresponding to the faculty’s doctoral study programmes:
- Metallurgical Technology
- Materials Science and Engineering
- Chemical Metallurgy
- Chemical and Environmental Engineering
- Nanotechnology
- Thermal Engineering and Industrial Fuels
- Industrial Systems Management
The conference will have an international dimension thanks to the participation of international doctoral students currently studying at FMT. The presence of industry experts, international researchers, and doctoral supervisors will enrich the programme with professional insights, expert contributions, and broader perspectives on the research topics addressed.
The aim of the event is to support the scientific development of doctoral students, strengthen their presentation and communication skills, enhance their ability to succeed in the international academic environment, and contribute to the advancement of excellent research at FMT.
