Proposal of Cooperation

The Department of Quality Management provides organizations with unique know-how and deep knowledge in all areas of modern quality management and integrated management, in the form of custom-made training programmes, consultancy and development projects. 

Department also provides an opportunity to publish papers and exchange experience in the online journal Q-magazine, issued by the department twice a year. 

Cooperation with practice is implemented to a great extent through elaboration of bachelor’s and master’s theses. Moreover, members of the department participate in solving current problems regarding assurance of product quality and development projects, and also provide specialized courses for company personnel.

Examples of cooperation with practice in the last five years:

  • Training course entitled "Quality Management" for employees of AL INVEST Břidličná, a.s., 2023.
  • Training entitled "Quality Management" for employees of Hansen Electric, spol. s r.o., 2023.
  • Independent testing of the mathematical correctness of the statistical SW Power Belt for the company Power Nodes s.r.o., 2023.
  • Training entitled "Quality Management" for employees of PRECHEZA a.s., 2023.
  • Training entitled "Quality Management" for employees of Hansen Electric, spol. s r.o., 2024.
  • External evaluation of the Comprehensive Internal Quality Assessment at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, 2024.
  • Course "Data Analysis in the Field of Quality in the MINITAB Program" for the company Mölnlycke Health Care Klinipro s.r.o., 2024. 

The Department’s International Cooperation

Since 2000, the Department of Quality Management has been a co-investigator of four European projects of the Leonardo da Vinci program, one project of the Sixth Framework Program of the EC and two projects of the Visegrad Funds. As part of the Erasmus program, the department's teachers have completed a number of lecture stays at foreign universities. In recent years, the department's employees have completed stays at universities in Spain, Portugal, Germany, Slovakia, Latvia and Poland.

Students of the fields guaranteed by the department also actively use the Erasmus project for study stays at foreign universities. Based on the established cooperation with foreign universities, more than 20 students or doctoral candidates have completed study stays in countries such as Sweden, Japan, Malta, Spain, Poland, etc. since 2005. The department also organizes lectures by foreign experts for students.

For foreign students who come to study at VŠB-TUO as part of the Erasmus program, the Department of Quality Management offers teaching of a number of subjects in English. There is interest in the courses offered, for example, in the academic year 2024/2025, 7 foreign students completed the Quality Planning II course. One foreign student will complete the entire follow-up master's degree in Quality Management in English in 2024.
