Science and Research
The department’s scientific activities are oriented on solving national and international projects of applied research, being focused primarily on the development of quality management principles and approaches to support long-term success of organizations and on the development of suitable tools and statistical methods for efficient running of the processes of quality planning, quality control and quality improvement. Currently, increased attention is paid to the development of advanced approaches to quality management in connection with Industry 4.0. Members of the department publish their research results on a continual basis in journals and conference proceedings. The department also has a long history as regards publishing professional books.
The department co-organizes the annual international conference Kvalita – Quality, is the organizer of regular meetings of teachers from domestic and international schools who specialize in quality management, and also cooperates with the Czech Society for Quality when organizing professional workshops. Further, it publishes the online journal Q-magazine which encompasses articles on topics
